Last February and April, Hoogenhuyze traveled to South India to delve deeper into various textile techniques. In an old family house in Kerala, amidst cows, chickens, and monkeys, each day was dedicated to weaving, natural fabric dyeing, block printing, or batik techniques. In the early morning, when the workshops were still closed, Hoogenhuyze often sat by the open windows of the large house, gazing at the overwhelming jungle and the animals, which inspired a series of drawings. For this 'edition,' the artist found it important to incorporate the textile element, choosing to highlight certain parts of the print with embroidery.
