Feeling blue?
Unfair x Blauwe Maandag present: Jay Daniel Wright
On the 4th Monday of the new year, we collectively seem to feel a bit blue. But luckily, the fourth edition oft he 'Tabloid of Wonder', De Blauwe Maandag, is here to brighten the day! Once again, we’ve teamed up to make this gloomy day a little more bearable.
De Blauwe Maandag is a yearly tabloid celebrating positivity and the beauty of the mundane on the notorious Blue Monday. With everyone collectively feeling blue, they strive to to brighten the day! Besides contributing to their fantastic tabloid, we’ve created a Special Time-Limited Edition in collaboration with one of the paper’s illustrators, Jay Daniel Wright.
Wright is a British illustrator and graphic artist based in Berlin, known for his playful and slightly surreal character designs. His work has been featured in publications like The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Die Zeit. His personal work, often autobiographical, serves as a record to his own personal journey and experiences; sometimes weird and revelling in sadness, but more often than not Joyful, heartfelt, bold and bright.
This edition is time-limited, meaning that the edition is exclusively available until Friday the 24th of January, 6pm (GMT+1). When the final release date passes, the edition numbering is fixed on the number of orders received to that moment. Don't miss out!

De Blauwe Maandag is a tabloid to brighten that shortest, darkest day of the year. Order De Blauwe this week for free — you only pay for handling and shipping — to have it delivered to someone special who could use a bit of extra cheer to get through this dreadful day.
So go and treat your mom, your neighbor, your cat. (or treat yourself a little...).
The paper is written in Dutch, but this year, once again, it’s a feast for the eyes. For this edition, we reimagined what an art supplement could be, collaborating with incredible artists to create an interactive piece of art: a coloring page. This way, everyone can add a splash of color to the grayest day of winter from the comfort of their homes. If working with Koen Taselaar, Iris Kensmil, Baby Reni, and Erik van Lieshout wasn’t exciting enough, we partnered with Lotte, the heir of Daan Gielis, to include a posthumous contribution. On May 2, 2023, the Belgian artist Daan Gielis passed away at the age of 34, but it’s wonderful to see how his work can continue to brighten your day.
