A veil of color hides a toxic truth.
In this photo series, pesticides appear as toxic, colorful clouds spreading across the landscape. By photographing flowers at extreme proximity, their forms dissolve into a hazy foreground, a metaphor for the invisible threat that spreads every day. These ‘poison clouds’ symbolize the large-scale use of pesticides. Despite bans such as those on neonics, these substances still find their way into the soil, water, and wild flowers. What remains is the slow poisoning of entire ecosystems; a gradual process of decay that undermines biodiversity and balance.
