The screenprint “We have chaos to do” is part of the series “The truth is in the pudding” and turns chaos into something to be actively embraced rather than resolved. The playful encounter of the two figures, together with the irregularities of the hand-torn stencil, makes this idea tangible.
The series combines anthropomorphic animals, celestial bodies and edible plants with idioms, questions and everyday wisdom. The drawings are made intuitively and paired with playful word combinations creating a visual language that is both naive and enigmatic. Printed by hand using stencil screen printing, the works invite viewers to discover meaning, humor and unexpected connections for themselves. The pairing of words and images as well as the hand-printed stencilcut screenprints on paper invite the viewer to look closer — becoming, in a way, the taste of the pudding.
